Some friends have asked me if I will ride across the U.S. mainland by myself, if I'll camp, etc. My answer: YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING! NO WAY! I'm going on a fully-supported bike tour directed by a company from New Hampshire (where I grew up) called America by Bicycle (www.abbike.com).

January's Training Stats
In preparation for the big ride, I have been riding six days a week, aiming for at least 250 miles per week. January's stats: 1262 miles (285 miles per week) including two centuries. Not bad for an old man like me! (My daughter added the previous sentence...) My goal for February is 300 miles per week.
